Kaleb Lee grew up in Moncure, a rural town in central North Carolina, and earned his B.S. in Environmental Technology and Management from North Carolina State University in 2021. Before pursuing an M.S. in Environment and Natural Resources at The Ohio State University, he worked as a research assistant at the U.S. EPA through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). There, he became interested in how the built environment shapes health—not only through exposure to physical toxins, but also through limited access to nature, mobility, food systems, and healthcare. Kaleb specializes in environmental social science, exploring the intersections of environmental education and environmental justice. His work focuses on how gardens, creative expression, storytelling, and community co-design can support healing and justice.
