Jamaal Durr is a Contemporary Artist known for his figurative mixed media works and portrait drawings. With materials such as oil paint, charcoal, and graphite, the artist often creates timely and significant narratives that focus on masculinity and self reflection. Born in 1992 in Lima, Ohio, he now resides in Dayton, Ohio where he received formal training at Stivers School for the arts. He also had a brief stint at Pratt Institute studying architecture. His work has been exhibited at galleries such as The Contemporary Dayton, ADC Fine Art Gallery in Cincinnati, the Columbus Cultural Arts Center, and the Springfield Museum of Art.
