Alyssa Killin is an artist and designer from Des Moines, Iowa. In 2015, she graduated as a Multicultural Vision Program scholar from Iowa State University, earning her BFA in Interior Design. After graduation, she embarked on a transformative journey, obtaining a TESOL certification in Cambodia and subsequently teaching kindergarten at an international school in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2019, Alyssa began her MFA in Integrated Visual Arts, guided by esteemed professors and creatives such as Ingrid Lilligren, Jennifer Drinkwater, Novotny Lawrence, and Mitchell Squire. In January 2024, Alyssa will commence her pursuit of a second Masters in Community and Regional Planning while working as a graduate assistant at the Margaret Sloss Center for Women and Gender Equity. Alyssa's artistic pursuits are firmly rooted in her desire to promote activism and foster connections within communities. She is wholeheartedly dedicated to utilizing her creative talents to make a positive impact in the world.
