Jazzy Tam Films, an independent film company based in the Midwest, is dedicated to bringing to life the stories and realities of undocumented lives. Co-founders Jeffrey Wray and Tama Hamilton-Wray see filmmaking as a collaborative effort and strive to use the talents and resources that their surroundings offer.

Tama Hamilton-Wray Tama has worked as producer on a number of Jazzy Tam feature and short narrative films. Tama has designed and implemented numerous media literacy workshops for youth and college students, and coordinated film festivals, both domestically and abroad. Tama holds a doctoral degree in American Studies from Michigan State University where she is an Associate Professor in the Residential College of Arts and Humanities. Her research and teaching practice focus on Global African cinema. |
Jeffrey C. Wray As a screenwriter and director Jeff has produced numerous award-winning films. A professor of Film Studies in English at Michigan State University, he earned an MFA from Ohio University. Honors include the John Anson Kittredge Foundation Fellowship, Art Serve Michigan Individual Artist Award, Ohio Arts Council Major Fellowship, Rockefeller Foundation Film Fellowship nominations and most recently a Wexner Center for the Arts Filmmaker Residency. |
